MiG 15 UTI / SBLim 2 Polish Aviation Museum Kraków
Last summer I took few photos of Czech MiG 15 as a part of reference for my future modelling project (see below, MiG 15 Pribor post).
Now I had an opportunity to take photos of four two-seaters on display/stored in Kraków.
Below you will see the MiG 15 UTI (natural metal one), the SBLim 2A (the one in greens and browns) and two SBLim 2 (the white one and the second natual metal)
Three of them (MiG UTI, white SBLim 2 and SBLim 2A) are on display outside the Museum's hangars. Sadly they are in far from perfect condition. Slowly rotting on the open air.
The fourth one is stored on the parking place behind the Museum buildings, it is in the worst condition, hope one day will be restored.
I tried to capture the details of airbrakes, location of hatches and panels on the airframe skin and also portray some curves and shape of few structures.
The undebelly with the camera windows and bulges was also of great interest.
