Avia S-199, Aviation Museum Prague-Kbely

The history of this post-war hybrid is well known and there is no need to introduce this Avia here. The fighter version, serial number 199-178. A plane of late production with plenty of Czech modifications including sliding bulged canopy. Personally I treat Avia S-199/CS-199 as the last of the line, even if it is not even close to a pure blood of last 109's. There is still a spirit of Messerschmitt and like it or not, I still think she looks good with this large wooden prop and bubble like canopy. I am aware of the poor photo quality. Sadly I had neither good camera nor more time but I believe I will return to Kbely once again for sure. Better equipped.
